Summer 2018

Sometimes one can be at the right place at the right time.  Recently I was participating at a show called Art on the Vine.  It was a wonderful small art and wine event located on the grounds of Backyard Vines in Suisun Valley.  The location reminded me a little of Provence because the grounds had vineyards, a wheat field, and a small lavender garden.  I couldn't help but bring out my easel and paint on site.  While doing so a newspaper photographer happened to come by and asked if I wouldn't mind if he took my picture.  Sure, why not right?  The next morning I was in the  Fairfield Daily Republic Newspaper.

I've also been blessed that my dog Kyle is still with us and is 16 and a half years old.  I take him out painting sometimes and he often naps at the door to the studio.  My wife and I are postponing long vacations abroad in order to spend as much time with him as possible.  The benefit of living in Northern California though is there are plenty of beautiful places we can easily enjoy with him.
